How to Join or Renew
All women are welcome and encouraged to join.
All women are welcome and encouraged to join. The membership enrollment period runs from November 1 to February 28. To learn about membership outside the enrollment period, please complete the form below. Nikki Sabol, WGA Director, will follow up with you.
A few additional items:
- The “open enrollment” period will run from November 1 to February 28 each year, unless it’s a Leap year (then it will run through February 29). If you would like to join outside of this window, please fill out the form with the Get Started button above.
- You can pay online or by mail.
- You can pay by check or credit card.
- You can ask your employer to fund all or part of your membership.
- You can pay using a donor advised fund.
- If you would like to pay using publicly traded stock, please call or email Nikki Sabol.
- Joining this year does not obligate you for future years; you’re free to evaluate your membership commitment each year.
- All gifts to WGA are tax-deductible.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO JOIN WGA?
We welcome new or returning members all year round. However, we recommend you keep April 15th in mind. This is the deadline for your donation to count towards the current year grant pool. It’s also the date we finalize the member list for the year. All contributions made after April 15 are gratefully received but will go towards next year’s grant pool.
Types of Memberships
Our principle of “one Member, one vote” ensures all Members have the same voice, regardless of total giving. All Members have full voting rights, are invited and encouraged to attend events, and serve in volunteer roles.
Annual Membership / $1,500 per year
Through the power of collective giving, a single annual gift of $1,500 has the impact of more than $400,000. Nowhere else can this amount do so much to assist local nonprofit organizations and the women and girls they serve. One hundred dollars of your gift goes towards WGA’s endowment, ensuring community needs are addressed for years to come. The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida underwrites a significant portion of WGA operating costs to help your gift go even further.
Delores Barr Weaver 4Sight Membership – A Pathway for Women 40 and Under
Women 40 and Under – our region’s emerging philanthropists – represent the future of WGA. Delores Barr Weaver 4Sight Membership is an opportunity for young women who are passionate about improving the lives of women and girls in Northeast Florida to raise their voices and increase their impact through collective giving. What you need to know:
- This program is open to all women 40 and under who have never been WGA members
- The first year contribution is $750, discounted from the standard WGA annual investment of $1,500; subsequent years are at the $1,500 level.
- 4Sight participants have full voting rights, and are invited to attend social and educational events, and to join WGA committees, if interested.
Legacy Membership / Minimum of $25,000 (one-time gift)
Your one-time gift of $25,000 or more (payable over five years) provides a lifetime Legacy Membership and perpetual support for WGA. For more information, click here.
